Aviation became my profession, but filmmaking was my first and enduring passion. Over time, that passion drew me from the cockpit to the world of screenwriting and production, inspiring me to establish Lusail Film as a home for stories brought to life on screen. Founded to adapt my Katara Prize–winning novel, Madina… A Document of Love, the company began its journey with A Very Ordinary Life, which I co-wrote with Bushra Malek and Muhammed Deniz.
